Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Foundation Awards Four Scholarships to CRMC Employees

Cheyenne, WY—The Cheyenne Regional Medical Center (CRMC) Foundation recently awarded four scholarships from its Walter Scott Nursing Endowment to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center employees pursuing nursing degrees. The following scholarship recipients each received $2,000, for use during the 2016-2017 academic year:

Landi Hoard, a registered nurse with women and children’s services, has been employed with CRMC for 11 years and is currently taking classes at the University of Northern Colorado. She plans to complete her bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2017.

Jon Gerber, a certified nursing assistant on the pediatric unit, is enrolled at Laramie County Community College, with plans to graduate as a registered nurse in 2019.

Nichole Christensen, a certified nursing assistant on the surgical unit, is enrolled in the nursing program at Laramie County Community College.

Bonnie Just, an assistant nurse manager with the behavioral health unit, has been employed with CRMC for 11 years. She is currently enrolled in Regis University’s nursing program and expects to complete her bachelor’s degree in nursing in December 2016, with plans to pursue a master’s degree in nursing leadership. Just currently has a psychiatric nurse certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Phoenix.
