Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s Electronic Health Record System Achieves Honor Roll Status
March 9, 2017
Cheyenne, WY–Cheyenne Regional Medical Center recently received $165,000 from the national software firm Epic for having an up-to-date, well-managed and user-friendly electronic health record system.
When the award was given earlier this year, CRMC was one of only four organizations named to Epic’s honor roll, which comes with the cash award. Currently Epic software is used by more than 300 healthcare systems worldwide.
To be named to the honor roll, CRMC’s Epic and Information Technology teams had to demonstrate that the hospital’s electronic health record system was functioning at a high level in 31 areas related to ease of use, security, integrity and infrastructure.
“It is an honor to be one of the first to be recognized by Epic for our hospital’s outstanding achievements in the electronic health record,” said Christy Wilder, a CRMC Epic director. “It certainly validates the hard work of the teams overseeing Epic and the commitment our organization has made to ensuring we are providing the safest and most comprehensive documentation system for the physicians and care providers who use the system and for patients who engage with our patient portal, MyChart.”
