Cheyenne Regional to host annual stroke symposium focused on prevention

Cheyenne, Wyo. – April 8, 2025 – Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability, but knowledge is power when it comes to prevention. That’s why Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is excited to host its annual Stroke Symposium: Know Stroke, An Ounce of Prevention on May 10, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Blue Community Events Center, 2401 E. Pershing Blvd. A in Cheyenne. Doors open at 8 a.m., and registration is $25 per attendee.
This year’s symposium brings together top medical experts from Cheyenne Regional for informative and interactive discussions on stroke prevention, risk factors and management strategies. Attendees will gain valuable insights from Dr. Van Kirk on women’s health-related stroke risks, Dr. Meares on blood pressure management and Dr. Wadhwa on GLP-1 agents and cholesterol.
Beyond expert-led sessions, this event is packed with opportunities to take charge of your health. Learn about key risk factors and practical steps to reduce them, connect with community outreach resources and leave with actionable strategies to protect yourself and your loved ones.
