CRMC Earns ‘Most Wired’ Recognition for 6th Consecutive Year
December 9, 2019
Cheyenne Regional Medical Center has earned Special Recognition from the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) HealthCare’s Most Wired program for the sixth consecutive year.
For 2019, CRMC also received Most Wired awards for its ambulatory services and its affiliated Cheyenne Regional Medical Group clinics for the first time ever.
According to CHIME, organizations that earn Level 7 recognition have implemented strategies such as cost-of-care analytics, patient portals and population health strategies to help achieve more meaningful and efficient clinical outcomes. At this level a health system must also be using information tools and technology in a way that makes it easier for patients and providers to interact, thus improving overall communication, safety and patient-provider relationships.
Level 7 recognition status is the second highest level recognized by CHIME.
“CRMC is extremely honored to receive the 2019 CHIME HealthCare’s Most Wired award for the sixth consecutive year,” Executive Director of Information Technology Jody Siltzer said. “We are continuing to make significant investments in technology to advance our mission of inspiring great health and our vision of providing the most trusted healthcare with a personal touch.”
CRMC’s Information Technology Department is focused on improving patient safety by analyzing patient data to accurately predict and address several potentially life-threatening situations, including a patient’s deterioration index and risk factors for having Sepsis, falling, unplanned readmissions and opioid abuse.
“At CRMC we strive to be at the forefront of IT sophistication. We do this to stay ahead of the curve in security, interoperability, predictive analytics and disaster preparedness,” Siltzer said. “Being able to not only achieve Most Wired status but to maintain it for six years is quite an accomplishment that our IT Department and our entire health system can be proud of.”
