Biography
Prior to working at Cheyenne Regional Medical Group, Sam worked at the Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He chose to become a provider to fill the lack of medical knowledge within his own family and decided he wanted to fill that gap for patients as well.
“I chose rheumatology first and foremost because of the patients. Many people that we see in rheumatology clinics have diseases that last a lifetime and as a result, we get the privilege of working with patients for many years, hopefully developing strong patient-provider bonds along the way,” Sam says.
Sam loves working at CRMG because it gives him the opportunity to treat people from both urban and rural backgrounds and provide them with the care they deserve.
“As a provider, I strive to build a patient-provider relationship which is patient-centered and based upon trust. For me, that means meeting my patients where they are and finding solutions for their medical care together as a team,” Sam says.
Sam’s other interests include running, cooking new recipes, game nights and taking care of his many house plants. He and his partner also have a terrier mutt and a Greyhound that they enjoy taking walks with. Sam is also a big fan of the Wisconsin Badgers, the Green Bay Packers and the TV show Survivor.
