Denk, William, MD
William Denk, MD joined Cheyenne Regional Medical Group in 2023. He completed his residence in anesthesiology in Philadelphia, before completing his fellowship in pain medicine at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
Dr. Denk chose to incorporate pain management into his education due to the number of patients he met with chronic pain during his residency. “When I realized how common the problem of untreated chronic pain was in the general public, I saw a gap in patient care that I could fill to positively impact many lives,” he says.
His patient care philosophy is to empower patients to take control of their own health by providing them with a diagnosis and educating them on available treatment options, so they can make the most informed decision to improve their functionality and quality of life.
Having grown up in Canada, Dr. Denk has always been a lover of outdoor activities, so he feels right at home in Wyoming. “I was drawn to the strong work ethic, family values, and the small businesses that makes Cheyenne truly remarkable. Cheyenne embodies the spirit of autonomy and generosity—ideals I incorporate into my own practice,” he says. When he is not helping his patients, he enjoys reading science fiction novels, hiking, skiing, learning new languages, cooking, baking and traveling with his fiancée.
