McKinney, Rachel, MSN, AGPCNP-BC

Cheyenne Regional Medical Group welcomes Rachel McKinney for her first position as a Nurse Practitioner. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Rachel was a registered nurse for fourteen years.

Rachel enjoys working at CRMG because she values the providers and community and staff support. She also appreciates the wealth of resources CRMC and CRMG offer to their to help them succeed.

Her patient care philosophy is to ensure that patients never feel alone in their health journeys.

“Working as a bedside registered nurse reinforced what I already knew about myself: I loved being a part of the team who took care of people in some of their scariest moments, in hopes of offering a face of hope, comfort and encouragement,” says Rachel. “As I grew as a nurse, I learned that I loved the role of advocacy for my patients, their families and my colleagues, which lead me to the nurse practitioner role.”

In her downtime, Rachel, her husband and two young children enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, boating and camping. During football season, you will find them cheering on the Wyoming Cowboys!
