Biography

M. Landon Millwood has been a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner since 2021 after finishing his residency at the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, he was a psychiatric RN for over 12 years. He became a provider because he saw there was a need and felt he could do more as a provider.

Landon’s philosophy is that psychiatry is more than just a prescription. “Everyone has different needs and experiences which changes how they need or want care,” he says. “My priority as a provider has always been to personalize care. Psychiatry can be scary for patients and my approach has always been to provide options – not to tell patients what to do.”

Originally from Mississippi, Landon has now lived in nine states. He says he is a complete nerd at heart and can hold down conversations about most sci-fi and video game-related topics. When he is not working, he loves playing video games, traveling and taking deep dives into Wikipedia articles.
