Biography
Samuel Saltz, DO, has been practicing since 2005. He was drawn to surgery because the immediate and tangible impact that surgical interventions can have on disease appealed to him. Dr. Saltz became more focused on anti-reflux treatment and metabolic and bariatric surgery because the surgical treatments in these areas have a measurable and dramatic impact on a person’s quality of life and health span. His focus in this area has helped advance his skills in minimally invasive surgery through laparoscopic and robotic techniques, which lead to minimal downtime and recovery for patients, with substantial improvement in their health and reduced chances of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and other illnesses.
“My philosophy of patient care is rooted in compassion, expertise and empowerment. I believe that every patient is unique and their journey to better health should be met with respect, individualized care and unwavering support,” Dr. Saltz says.
His priorities as a provider include patient-centered decision making, a holistic approach, maximum benefit through minimally-invasive techniques, empathy and long-term support and commitment to excellence and safety.
“At the core of my practice, my mission is to help patients reclaim their health, regain confidence and lead fuller, healthier lives,” Dr. Saltz says. “Ultimately the goal is ‘more, better days on this earth.’”
He is inspired by his wife and three children every day. They enjoy spending time in the mountains, surfing on the lake, snow skiing and hiking.
