Slota, Alexander, MD
Alexander Slota, MD specializes in benign and malignant blood diseases and various types of cancer.
Cheyenne Regional Cancer Center is Dr. Slota’s first year of practice after completing his training. He attended medical school in Poznan, Poland before completing his internal medicine residency at Henry Ford Health in Jackson, Michigan. He then completed his medical oncology fellowship at the Henry Ford Cancer Institute in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Slota is excited to join the Cheyenne Regional Cancer Center. “Their approach to patient care completely aligns with my values and philosophies. I was able to see how appreciative our patients were after each appointment and I am thrilled to join the team,” says Dr. Slota.
Dr. Slota has a passion for people and believes that medicine is a calling. “We encounter individuals going through the most difficult phases of their lives and they need someone who will empathize with them, listen to them and help shoulder their load,” says Dr. Slota. “At my prior hospital, my team knew that a visit with Dr. Slota was not done until we laughed together – I bring this philosophy to Cheyenne to ensure our patients have positive experiences during even the most difficult appointments.”
Dr. Slota spent most of his formative years in Canada before returning to his native Poland for medical school. He and his fiancée Alixe have four dogs. He and Alixe enjoy cooking, eating at local restaurants, traveling, golfing, snuggling with their pups and watching horror and Lifetime and Hallmark movies. Dr. Stola is also interested in vexillology, or the study of world flags.
