Winter, Bret, MD
Dr. Bret Winter was born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Biology degree from the University of Kansas in Lawrence. He continued medical school at the University of Kansas in Kansas City and received his Doctorate of Medicine degree. Upon graduation, he completed his residency in orthopedics at the Indiana School of Medicine in Indianapolis, followed by an AO Fellowship in sports medicine and trauma in Mammoth Lakes, California.
Prior to joining our team as an orthopedic surgeon at Wyoming Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in 2012, Dr. Winter worked at Associates in Orthopaedic Surgery in West Valley City, Utah for four years. He is board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery and is a certified Makoplasty procedure provider. He and his team at WOSM are the first in Wyoming (and within a 100-mile radius) to utilize the innovative Makoplasty procedure for hip and knee replacement surgeries.
