Revolutionizing Healthcare in Cheyenne
February 20, 2024 — Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is proud to launch its Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) program, aiming to transform healthcare delivery in the Cheyenne community.
MIH utilizes collaborative, interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centric, evidence-based care at convenient locations, addressing specific healthcare needs within Laramie County and Wyoming. By integrating Community Paramedicine (CP), the program enhances access to primary care and efficiently addresses social determinants of health.
Jared Skagen, the Trauma and Emergency Services Director, expressed his enthusiasm for the program, stating, “We are excited to offer an additional service to our community that will make access to a care team even easier. Our team is excited to have the opportunity to serve our community within their homes and provide timely assessments and interventions.”
The initiative seeks to increase access to comprehensive care, reduce unnecessary ambulance and emergency department visits, and improve overall health outcomes for the community. This groundbreaking approach also aims to enhance the overall well-being of the community and ensure the availability of hospital resources for true emergencies.
