Stroke Survivors Support Group
Cheyenne Regional Medical Center offers a support group for stroke survivors and their caregivers. Anyone affected by a stroke or TIA, directly or indirectly, is welcome.
Our stroke survivors support group meets at the Laramie County Library, located at 2200 Pioneer Ave. in Cheyenne, from 6 – 7 p.m. on the 1st Tuesday of every month.
(Meeting times and locations are subject to change; see the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Facebook page for updates.)
The group is a safe and welcoming environment, focused on helping participants overcome challenges by sharing their experiences and encouraging one another.
We promote forming friendships, adjusting to new situations and helping others.
Through education and discussion, members gain realistic feedback in their journey as a survivor or as a caregiver, with topics including kinds of strokes, changes after a stroke, therapy options, the grief process and how to cope after a stroke.
