Mother-Baby Unit

In the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center (CRMC) Mother-Baby Unit, which includes Labor & Delivery, our goal is to prepare expectant parents for pregnancy and childbirth. Mothers, you will begin your experience in our Labor & Delivery unit, where you will labor, deliver and recover. For mothers needing cesarean sections, our operating room suite is located on our unit.

After you recover, you will be transferred to the Mother-Baby Unit, which is on the same floor as Labor and Delivery.

Knowing that mothers and their newborns need every opportunity to bond, the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center (CRMC) Mother-Baby Unit encourages rooming-in with your baby.

While in the Mother-Baby Unit, you’ll have a private room, allowing you to enjoy quality time in a warm and comfortable atmosphere. Additionally, we offer:

  • Overnight accommodations for one support person of the mother’s choice
  • Snack accommodations for patient and support person

We encourage all new mothers to complete the New Mother Worksheet. The worksheet can be accessed by clicking the link below.

Our staff goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is the best that it can be. It’s that “little extra” that we feel makes us different than other mother-baby units.

Lisa DeShaney is a wonderful CNA who also likes to surprise families with fun characters that she fashions out of room towels! Don’t be surprised if one of these characters finds its way to your room!

Nominate one of our employees on the Mother-Baby Unit for a DAISY or VIP award.
