Kala James, PharmD
After graduating from pharmacy school at the University of Wyoming, Kala James completed a one-year residency program at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. After finishing her residency program, she stayed in Cheyenne and practiced as a pharmacist on the Anti-Microbial Stewardship and Critical Care teams. She has been in practice for five years.
Kala pursued a career in pharmacy because she finds great fulfillment in helping individuals overcome barriers to medication compliance and optimization, whether it’s through medication education, counseling or personalized support.
“My commitment to supporting our community in Cheyenne is deeply rooted in my belief that everyone deserves access to quality health care,” Kala says. “I take pride in taking the time to truly understand each patient’s unique situation, collaborating closely with their health care team to ensure comprehensive and tailored care.”
Kala’s favorite aspects about being a part of CRMG and the larger Cheyenne community include the vibrant community spirit – characterized by friendly neighbors and colleagues – and a strong sense of belonging.
In her free time, Kala enjoys gardening, spending quality time with her family, cooking, traveling and savoring meals from different cultures around the world.
