Thomas Fine, RN
Vascular Access Team
“My young daughter was pretty sick and needed an IV. Tom came to the Emergency Department and spent time talking to her on her own level so she was less scared about getting an IV for the first time. He promised her he would bring back some popsicles the next night he was on because she did so good. Sure enough, the next night he showed up with popsicles. She was so excited! As a parent, I really appreciated it. I know staff are busy, so it was nice that Tom took the time to bring her popsicles like he promised.”
Sunshine Ewing, RN
7th Floor
“What can I say about Sunshine? There are not enough kind words to say about her. Being in the hospital is hard enough as it is, but she made my stay there as enjoyable as it could be. She made me laugh which is hard to do when you feel so down and out. I can’t explain how comfortable she made me feel. Why is her name Sunshine? Because she radiates it every chance she gets!”
Kate Loring, RN
Davis Hospice Center
“Kate always came with a positive attitude and such a kind aura. She even went above and beyond to recognize our religion and brought us some holy water, which we appreciated so much. She knew what we needed during this time and she always gave us that – comfort, kindness, positive attitude and so much more. We cannot express how thankful we are for her having been assigned to our grandmother’s care. Kate is an angel on earth.”
