Wyoming Medicaid Authorizes Durable Medical Equipment Breast Pump Provider

Cheyenne, WY—Wyoming Medicaid recently authorized a durable medical equipment (DME) breast pump provider for members who have reached 28 weeks gestation or who are currently breastfeeding.
The name of the provider is Healthy Babies, Happy Moms, Inc., (HBHM) and the breast pump being offered is Motif Twist, an affordable and portable breast pump with a two-year warranty that can be battery operated.
“Providing human milk for babies is important for infant and maternal health,” said Lori Boussuge, a Cheyenne Regional Medical Center lactation consultant who initiated the effort to find a Medicaid DME breast pump provider for Wyoming. “This also contributes to the CRMC goal of improving the health of Laramie County as research shows that maximizing breastfeeding duration improves maternal and infant health.”
Eligible Medicaid members can order a breastfeeding pump online at https://www.healthybabieshappymoms.com/wyoming-medicaid.
Providers must also send a breast pump prescription to Healthy Babies, Happy Moms, Inc., via fax at (844) 276-5457. A prescription form with all required information is available online at https://healthybabieshappymoms.com/s/Wyoming-Breastpump-Prescription.pdf.
An online ordering system and prescription for Spanish-speaking mothers will be available December 1, 2021.
